Which Mac OS X Tiger feature are you most looking forward to?
Mac users around the globe are patiently waiting for
Tiger to pounce. It’s like our own little Christmas in March
April May “the first half of 2005.”
In anticipation of the release of the next big cat, Macworld UK polled their readers and asked “What Tiger feature are you looking forward to the most?” With 1,532 votes cast it was revealed that 29% are most excited about Dashboard.
1,532 votes? We can do better than that, can’t we? At least I think we can. I figure we’re good for at least 1600! Please don’t let me down. My ego is easily bruised.
I ask you, the TUAW faithful, the same question…
(running totals are viewable after you vote)
(p.s. sorry about the typo but there’s no way for me to fix it while the survey is live)

How have 500 people voted without leaving a comment?
Here's my vote: Spotlight will be king, but not because of what it will do to Finder, but what CoreData will do for developers everywhere. It's like developers will never have to think about file formats ever again. It's that powerful.

But I... I *like* thinking about file formats...

Carl, be careful not to break your NDA when you say things like that ;-)
I am quite looking forward to CoreData as I'm currently developing an application that uses SQLite.

Spotlight rocks my world and I truly believe it will be the most indispensable Tiger feature.
Carl - I agree it is suspect that there are so many votes but so few comments. Voter fraud is rampant in these parts methinks :) Let me see if I can put an end to that.

Ok... no more "vote early, vote often." I have it set so you can only vote once unless you reallyl have nothing else to do today except delete cookies and/or vote in 10 different browsers.

Spotlight. If nothing else it has to help me get a little more organized.

I use mail all the time and I desperately want 'smart mailboxes' for my mail and I need to have mail be more robust. Quicksilver makes Spotlight not as great a jump (it will be cool, i believe it) and the Dashboard will be undoubtedly cool. I just want my powerbook to move faster and my mail to have more features in sorting.

I know this is a dumb question but by 'NDA' do you mean 'Non Disclosure AGreement' ? Are you a man in the know Carl? Sorry if i sound so nieve and stupid, just got quite interested reading these comments!
But yeah i cant wait for the new smart mailboxes and the dashboard. I'm a sucker for anything that looks / moves!

I am most looking forward to smart folders and more metadeta in the finder, I cant wait till the whole system is like smart playlists in itunes. Dashboard will rock, because we will see a huge increase in the amount of "applications" or widgits as it will that will, that will pour into the pool of OS Xs features. automator is going to kick ass to...
